Lamp Warming
This phase is automatically selected by the system if it detects that it is required. Lamp
warming can take up to 10 minutes.
Print Mud Page
This phase helps to clear the print head jets of any contamination not taken care of
after running
Converge Roll
This phase is used to adjust the angular position of the print heads, to ensure the print
heads are positioned accurately enough to proceed with the Head Registration phase,
and to identify missing and misdirected jets.
Register Heads
This phase is used to adjust the position and timing of each print head so that the color
to color registration is within specifications. Missing jets are also identified in this phase.
Normalize Heads
This phase ensures that all print heads produce the same density of color on the page
for a seamless image.
Correct Ydp
This phase is similar to Converge Roll and Register Heads in that it helps the CiPress
™
detect which jets are not firing. This phase also can help with image quality issues such
as poor edge definition.
Tip
In the Print Head Setup routine, the Abort button is not functional until the CiPress
™
has
cycled up.
