Creating Groups
To create a new group:
1.
On the IP Protocol Group page, click
Create Group
at the bottom of the page. You can create a
maximum of 100 IP Protocol Groups.
2.
On the Create New Protocol Group page, next to Group Name, type a name, up to 64 characters.
3.
Type a Description, up to 256 characters.
Note:
The name and description cannot contain the following special characters: " ' & ? + = < > / \
4.
Under
Protocol
, select at least one of the protocols to add to the group.
5.
Click
Save Changes
button.
6.
Click
Apply
at the bottom of the page to update the IPsec Policy database and save the new
policies.
Modifying IP Protocol Groups
To view or modify a group, click the Name of the group. You can sort the list of groups by Name or
Description by clicking the column titles.
Note:
Changing the default ports of any protocol service invalidates rules based on that service.
Deleting IP Protocol Groups
To delete a group, select the check box next to the group and click
Delete Group
. Any protocol group
that is being used in an IPsec Policy cannot be deleted.
Note:
You can restrict access to the IPsec configuration pages by using the passwords and feature
authorization settings on the Administrative Security Settings page. For details, see
Admin and
Key User Accounts
on page 52.
IPsec Actions
This page enables you to create, modify, and delete IPsec Actions. Once an IPsec Action is configured,
it is available for selection on the IPsec Policies page. For more information about IPsec, see
IPsec
Policies
on page 65.
IPsec Actions enable you to do the following:
•
Pass
: Permit network traffic to pass through (unencrypted) to a protocol and address. This default
action cannot be deleted.
•
Block
: Drop network traffic and stop communication with a protocol and address. This default
action cannot be deleted.
•
Authenticate
: Require IPsec authentication for the selected network traffic.
