Color calibration options
Calibration is available both at the server with AutoCal
™
and remotely from a Win-
dows or Mac OS computer with Print Calibrator. AutoCal is a calibration method that
doesn’t require a densitometer. With Print Calibrator, you can customize calibration
targets to suit your printing needs. Server-based calibration (using AutoCal) is covered
in this manual. For information about calibration with a densitometer, see the
Job
Management Guide.
Calibration is available remotely from Windows or Mac OS computers with Print Cal-
ibrator. With DocuColor Print Calibrator, you can customize calibration targets to suit
your printing needs. For information about calibration with a densitometer, see the
User Guide.
•
CMYK simulation options
Users can use CMYK simulation to adjust DocuColor 40 CP color output to DIC,
Euroscale, or SWOP targets. With Print Calibrator, you can create custom simulations
to suit your printing needs. Users can also select a simulation on a job-by-job basis.
For more information on CMYK simulation, see the
Printing Guide
and the
Job Man-
agement Guide.
