DocuColor 40 MATERIALS USAGE GUIDE
Pressure-Sensitive Labels
Material Description and Expectations
Pressure-sensitive label stock consists of three layers: the face
sheet, the pressure-sensitive adhesive, and the backing or release
sheet. There are many types of face sheets and label weights
available.
To avoid feeding and image quality problems, it is very important to
run labels with the correct balance of properties. The recommended
Xerox copier/printer labels and Rank Xerox color copier labels have
been specifically designed to give optimum performance in the
DocuColor 40. They have low weight/low stiffness for improved
feeding. U.S. versions have a pattern-printed adhesive (no
adhesive within 1/16 inch of the edges of the sheets) to reduce fuser
and photoreceptor contamination.
