Touch the Original Type button on the Image
Quality tab to display the Original Type screen.

Photo & Text detail screen, Figure 5.

Touch the selection in the Photo Type column
which best describes the picture or photo in the
original document:
•
Halftone (default)
Use this option for images that are created
using a fine screen that varies the darkness
and density of dots that make up the image.
Examples of halftone images can be found in
magazines and newspapers.
•
Photograph
Use this option when copying photographs or
extremely fine halftones.
•
Xerographic Copy
Use this option when using a xerographic
reproduction (copy) as the original document.

Touch Save to return to the Image Quality tab.
