Selecting the MICR mode (96/4635/180 MICR IPS only)
MICR is the normal operating mode for the 96/4635/180 MICR IPS.
In the MICR mode, the printer uses preset values for lead-edge
lightening, darkness, and extended imaging. In MICR mode, the
edge lightening is no longer in effect, allowing the print quality to
remain the same across the MICR page. In addition, the Darkness
parameter is reset to provide the best print quality for the MICR print
job.
Do not turn off MICR mode unless a job must be printed in non-MICR
mode. Whenever you turn off MICR mode, be sure to turn it back on
as soon as the non-MICR job is printed.
To specify MICR mode:
1. From the Configuration menu, select MICR Mode. The MICR
Mode Selection window displays.

2. From the pull-down list, select Off to disable MICR mode, or On
to enable MICR mode.
3. Click Apply.
4. Restart the system at the host to put your MICR settings into
effect.
