Example 7: Specifying parameter order
Scenario:
In this scenario, the user submits the file “someFile.”
The user can specify the parameters in any order in the
Parameters field.
Profile name:
Something
Script Full Path:
c:\SomeScript
Parameters:
-I $in$ -O $out$
Working directory:
c:\temp (user's choice)
Output Location:
c:\brianOut (user's choice)
Time interval:
30 seconds (user's choice)
During execution, the External Process launches SomeScript with
the following command:
C:\SomeScript -I c:\temp\someFile -O c:\brianOut\someFile
Deleting an external process profile
You can select and remove individual profiles from an external
process.
To delete an external process profile
1. In Workflow Builder, select [
Options: External Processes
].
2. In the External Processes dialog, select the process that
contains the profile you wish to delete, and select [
Edit
].
CAUTION: If you select [Delete] in the External Processes
dialog, you will delete the external process and all profiles
associated with the process.
3. In the External Process Setup dialog, select the desired profile
from the Process Profiles list.
4. Select [
Delete
]. The selected profile is deleted. A confirmation
message displays.
5. Select [
OK
].
