1.3.1 RS 232 Interface Option
Removal
1.
Remove the rear access cover.
a.
Disconnect telephone line and handset cords.
b.
Disconnect the RS-232 cable. If installed, also disconnect the
encryption interface cable.
c.
Remove screw securing access cover, then remove plastic and
metal cover.
NOTE: The metal cover may be secured by a screw on an
existing option PWB. Remove the screw.
2.
Slide RS-232 PWB out of the option mother PWB.
Replacement
1.
If a new RS-232 PWB is being installed, ensure JP1 and JP2 settings
match the old PWB settings.
2.
Perform removal procedure in reverse order.
