Safety instructions

Keep the work area clean and tidy. Untidy work areas invite accidents.

Observe the environmental conditions of the work area.

Do not expose the winch to rain.
◦
Do not use it in a damp environment.
◦
Make sure that the environment of the work area is well lit (sunlight or artificial lighting).

Dress appropriately.
◦
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery and tie long hair securely. In case they get caught
up in the moving parts, serious injury might follow.
◦
Wear work gloves and non-slip footwear.

Always use the most appropriate device for the job to do. Do not force the device.
◦
Do not force a small device or accessory to do the work of a heavy-duty device.
◦
Do not use the tool for purposes other than those that it is intended for. The tool will do a
better and safer job at its rated capacity than if it is used for purposes for which it has not
been designed.

Keep a safe distance.

Keep yourself and others at a safe distance from the work area, the device and the steel
cable being tensioned.
◦
Keep bystanders (especially children) and animals away from the work area.
◦
Keep the winch away from children or their vicinity.
◦
Never allow children to operate the winch. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the winch.

Transport the winch witch both hands.
◦
Wear the correct protective equipment according to the working environment.

Always ensure safe footing and balance.

Important!
Never pull loads that exceed the maximum capacity of the winch.

Do not attempt to pull stationary or fixed loads.
◦
Do not apply lateral force to the load.
◦
Not suitable for lifting loads and never for transporting people.

Avoid starting the winch unintentionally. The ratchet switch should always be fully engaged.

Check the winch for damaged parts:

Before using or reusing the winch, carefully inspect all parts to determine if it is working
properly and performing its intended function. Do not use the winch if any parts are dam-
aged. Damaged parts should be repaired or replaced by qualified personnel.

Check the correct alignment of the moving parts and ensure that there are no blockages.
Check the fastening devices, too, and make sure that there are no broken parts or other
conditions that could affect proper operation.

Check the steel cable regularly for signs of cracks and wear. Have a damaged cable re-
placed by qualified personnel.

Repairing the winch:

Only identical spare parts should be used for repairs to avoid endangering the user.
◦
Repair of the winch should be carried out by a qualified specialist using original spare
parts to avoid endangering the user.

Maintaining the product:

Keep the product properly maintained and clean for better and safer performance.
◦
Follow the instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
◦
Check all moving parts, fixing bolts and nuts before use. Tighten them if necessary.
◦
Keep the handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
