QUALIFICATIONS
Handling and operating this device requires no special qualifications or training. However, it is
essential to read and follow all instructions provided in this manual and all other safety rules
currently in force in the place where this device is to be used.
This device may only be handled by persons over
14 years of
age
(unless otherwise specified by
local legislation) or by other persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or without
experience and/or knowledge, if these persons have first become sufficiently familiar with this
manual and have fully understood all the instructions provided in it, or if these persons are
supervised at all times while handling the device by another person over 18 years of age who has
been fully trained to use the device, and/or if these younger persons have themselves been trained
by qualified personnel and have sufficient knowledge and experience to work with this device.
RESIDUAL RISKS
Even if the device is used correctly and all the instructions are observed, there always remains
some risk that cannot be eliminated. The following potential risks can be derived from the type
and design of the device:

Never underestimate the importance of hearing protection and always use hearing
protectors of adequate quality when working with the compressor.
•
Before starting the compressor, make sure that the air hoses, quick couplings and
attachments are attached properly and that there is no danger of them coming loose during
operation.
•
Never point the air gun or hose directly at other persons or animals.
•
Never use the compressor in dusty environments or where there is a risk of foreign
particles coming into contact with your face/eyes, and wear adequate safety goggles if that
is the case.
•
Avoid electric shock and do not touch uninsulated electrical parts and surfaces.
•
Failure to comply with the safety instructions may result in other risks associated with
improper handling of the compressor. Avoid all these risks actively.

The level of vibrations specified by the manufacturer may vary depending on the following
factors:

The device is not used in accordance with all instructions provided in this manual.

The device is used for purposes other than the intended purpose.

The selected accessory is not compatible with the valve used.

The device is not placed on a suitable surface during operation.

The handle, covers and other components are not properly attached to the device.
If you experience discomfort or skin discoloration on your hands during use, stop work
immediately. Take reasonable breaks. Failure to take reasonable breaks may result in adverse
medical complications. Choose appropriate break intervals depending on the nature of work or
usage of the device. Minimise the amount of time you are exposed to vibrations generated by the
device. Maintain the device as specified in this manual. Avoid using the compressor at
temperatures below 5°C. A certain level of noise is unavoidable when using this device. Schedule
noisy work for times that are approved and designated for such work.
If required, observe the appropriate working hours and do not use the device at times when the
nature of the application makes using the device unadvisable or prohibited. Appropriate hearing
protection should be worn by both the operator of the device and any other persons in the vicinity.
