STEP 1: Prep

Place one Sling facedown. Xtracycle logo
should be facing the floor and away from you
with the Sling mounting side-release buckles
A & B closest to the bike.

Note:

If using a Sling over a CargoBay

on an EdgeRunner or LEAP, buckle the Sling
to the frame upright, outside the vertical
webbing that connects the CargoBay to the
“chainstay” of the EdgeRunner or LEAP.

Attach side-release buckles A and B around
the vertical uprights on the frame, below the
RackLocks.

STEP 2: Clip to Frame

STEP 4: Attach strapping buckles

STEP 3: Tension Sling

Pull tight on both ends until the bottom band
of the Sling is highly tensioned from front to
back.  Let the Sling fall to the floor.

Note:

The c-clip on the back of the nylon

webbing keeps the excess tail from getting
in your gears or spokes while riding.  If the
strap ends are flapping around, make sure to
reattach the c-clip “slacker”.

Attach side-release buckles C,D, and E to the
top of the vertical rack using the hook-and-
loop straps provided.  Then clip the buckles on
the sling (with long straps) to the mated buckle
that is looped to the rack.

Note:

When installing a Sling on the LEAP

with a WheelSkirt, overlap the front of the
Sling with the WheelSkirt. Photo shown
installed with uncut (29+) V-Racks.

STEP 5: Install Other Sling

Repeat steps 1-4 on the opposite side of the
bike.

STEP 6: Buckle Over Top

Now you are ready to clip buckles over the top
of the deck for hauling bigger or bulky loads.
