Uninterruptible Power Supply
• CAUTION (No User serviceable Parts):
Risk of electric shock, do not remove cover. No user serviceable
parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
• CAUTION (Non-isolated Battery supply):
Risk of electric shock, battery circuit is not isolated from AC in
-
put, hazardous voltage may exist between battery terminals and ground. Test before touching.
• WARNING (Fuses):
To reduce the risk of fire, replace only with the same type and rating of fuse.
• CAUTION:
Do not disconnect battery connector under load.
• ATTENTION:
Hazardous through electrical shock. Also with disconnection of this unit from the mains,
hazardous voltage still may be accessible through supply from the batteries. The battery supply should
therefore be disconnected in the plus and the minus pole when maintenance or service work inside the
battery cabinet or UPS is considered.
• CAUTION (For any pluggable only):
With the installation of this equipment it should be prevented, that
the sum of the leakage current of the UPS and connected consumer does not exceed 3.5 mA.
• CAUTION (For permanent connection only):
HIGH LEAKAGE CURRENT, Earth connection essential before
connection supply
• WARNING:
Intend for installation in a controlled environment.
• CAUTION:
Do not dispose of batteries in a fire, the battery may explode.
• CAUTION:
Do not open or mutilate the battery, released electrolyte is harmful to the skin and eyes.
• CAUTION:
A battery can present a risk of electric shock and high short circuit current. The following pre
-
caution should be observed when working on batteries:
A.
Remove watches, rings or other metal objects.
B.
Use only tools with insulated handles.
C.
Wear rubber gloves and boots.
D.
Do not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries.
E.
Disconnect charging source prior to connecting or disconnecting battery terminals.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect the UPS from the mains supply before installing a computer
interface signal cable. Reconnect the powers cord only after signaling interconnections have been made.
• Servicing of batteries should be performed or supervised by personnel knowledge of batteries and the
required precautions. Keep unauthorized personnel away from batteries.
• CAUTION:
When replacing batteries, replace with the same type and number of batteries: One Sealed lead
acid battery, rated 12 V, 8.5 Ah max.
• CAUTION:
To reduce the risk of fire, use only No. 26 AWG or larger telecommunication line cord.
• CAUTION (FOR 1500VA HV Only):
To reduce the risk of fire. Connect only to a circuit provided with 20
amperes maximum branch circuit overcurrent protection in accordance with the National Electric Code,
ANSI/NFPA 70”.
