Caution:
• If using a static IP address, after config ip, netmask and gateway, you must run command “ifconfig static”
to enable static IP address.
• f using DNS fuction(e.g. set pop3 server), you must set DNS server IP address manually.

Sending Control command to the system:
A control command is placed in the email content field and only support pure text format. It has the following
format:
username
password
Command
where “
username
” and “
password
” are valid user account name and password; and
“
command
” is the actual system control command. The subject field has the following fomat:
rcs
For example, sending email subject “rcs” and content”
admin
admin
help
“will get all email supporting command. The user name is “admin” and password is “admin”.
After a command is executed, a confirmation reply email is sent. The destination of the replying email address is
already defined in the Network Configuration Table.
A control command is not executed if the subject field doesn’t match, or user name does not exists, or the name
does not have the privilege to operate the designated serial console port or power outlet port, or if there is a com

mand syntax error. If this happens, a reply email is sent to indicate the problem of the command.
Helpful Info: Use command “getmail” to check incoming emails immediately. Use command “smtp lalala” to send
a test mail immediately.
