Custom Bulkhead Connectors
The AI1 can fit a variety of custom bulkhead connectors to suit almost any sensor. The standard M12 connector hole
may be enlarged, or a blanking plug can be supplied for another location to be used. The ideal location for larger
connectors is at the bottom right-hand corner of the Ai1 enclosure, such as the YSI ProDSS / ProSWAP connector
fitted in Figure NN. This cable is flexible enough to wrap back to the side of the housing using either the cable clip or
conduit clip option to protect the cable. Any exposed cable may be protected with

any connector system that is not sealed, care must be taken to seal the cable entry (such as using silicon sealant) and
to route the conduit so that rainwater does not flow down and pond inside the conduit. With Flexicon, this is
typically done by routing flexicon down, cable tied to the Ai1 mounting post, and using a sealant such as
to seal the port around the wires.
