Corrections with AR500X Equipment
The AR5000 series HHDs have additional features to aid in the troubleshooting of incorrect
meter ID's. While based on the same concepts above, these features greatly simplify the
process. Please refer to Section
- The
AR500x
Tab for more information on how to take
advantage of these options.
These options are turned off by default which causes the 5000 HHD to mimic the 4000;
so if you prefer, you may follow the above steps for the AR400x equipment and simply
substitute the
F5
key on the 5000 HHD in place of the
Shift
,
Last
combo on the 4000, the
F3
key in place of the
Search
button, and the
Right
tab key in place of
PageDown
.
RadioRead Meters
Corrections with AR400x or AR500x Equipment
No Response from Device (Message on HHD)
On a RadioRead account a
No Response from Device
message indicates that the
MXU did not communicate and more troubleshooting is required. A note indicating this
should be entered as well as a Manual reading. If using a HHD with an MXU programmer
loaded, then programming should be attempted, and if successful, the reading tried again. If
the MXU ID, Class, or Password are incorrect, or the MXU has not been properly activated,
it will not respond. See the RadioRead MXU Troubleshooting Guide included with this
manual for more troubleshooting tips on MXUs.
ID Not on Route (Message on HHD)
The procedures to troubleshoot this error when performing a RadioRead are identical to
those listed above for TouchReads. Please refer to those steps with the only difference
being that you will perform a Radio Interrogation on an MXU in place of a TouchRead on a
TouchPad.
