5.5.3. STOPPING THE ENGINE
1. Change the engine to idle status by turning the throttle to ‘TURTLE’ position
for a minute.
2. To stop the engine, turn the engine ‘ON/OFF’ switch to the ‘OFF’ position.
3. When the engine has stopped completely, turn the fuel lever to the ‘OFF’
position as well.
4. Only use the emergency stop switch if there is a need to do so. Push the
button and the chipper will stop.
*Tips *
Keep the machine running for another 3-5 seconds after feeding the last
branch, and then turn the throttle lever to the lowest position before stopping
the engine.
If the machine gets jammed, stop the machine, disassemble the bearing cover,
and turn the rotor a few degrees by spanner till the rotor can turn freely. Check
machine after work, to ensure all bolts, nuts and screws are tight. If loose,
tighten them.
