3.2.2 Overview
The battery provides 12V DC power for the electric
equipment of the electric vehicle and mainly supplies
power for the burglar alarm after the consumer takes
out the vehicle power battery to sound the burglar alarm
and open the cushion.
The battery pack is mainly divided into power cell and
battery management system (BMS), which is used
to store and manage electric energy. It is the energy
source of the electric vehicle and its output electric en-
ergy is not only used to drive the vehicle by the motor,
but also can supply power to the electric equipment of
the vehicle through DC/DC buck after the power switch
is turned on. When the battery power is exhausted, the
battery can be charged by an external charger.
Panasonic lithium - ion cell made of ternary material is
used for the battery. The battery management system
can realize many functions, such as data acquisition,
SOC estimation, fault diagnosis, etc., to ensure the safe
and stable operation of the battery during the vehicle
running and charging.
1. Battery
In the electric system, the battery has two main func-
tions.
●
It is the auxiliary power supply of the burglar alarm.
●
It can open the cushion when the power battery is tak-
en out.
The battery mounting box and the pressing block (cy-
lindrical rubber pressing block located under the seat
cask) battery mounting box shall be in good condition,
so as to keep the battery solid and level.
Before installing the battery, the battery box and the
pressing block shall be clean without corrosion. Make
sure there are no parts in the mounting box.
To prevent the battery from swinging in the mounting
box, a rubber pressing block must be installed under the
compartment.
2. Battery maintenance
Caution:
●
The charging current value of the maintenance-free
battery shall be selected according to factory regula-
tions.
Measurement of battery terminal voltage
1 Fully charge the battery and connect the carbon pile
meter as an adjustable load between the positive and
negative poles of the battery, adjust the load current
to specified value and discharge 15s continuously.
2 Measure the battery terminal voltage. If the terminal
voltage is above 52V, the battery is in good technical
condition and can continue to be used after charging;
if the terminal voltage is below 52V, the battery has
poorer technical condition and can no longer be used.
The load current in measurement of the battery termi-
nal voltage shall be determined according to the factory
regulations.
