Chapter 9 Troubleshooting (Error messages)
Solution
1.
Check there is no obstacle between the point where the robot performed the
loopstep and the station.
2.
Check the charging station power supply.
3.
Check the DC voltage on station arms (should be 32V).
4.
Check station alignment to the wire. The charging station arms should be
approximately at right angles to the direction of the peripheral wire.
5.
Check and clean the contacts.
9.2.10 No station found in any field
Scenario
Occurs if a positioning beacon is being used to locate the station. If the robot has passed
through all the parcels but is unable to detect the station (positioning signal beacon) this
error message is shown.
Solution
1.
Check that the positioning beacon is powered up.
To do this, remove the charging station cover and check that the LED is blinking on
the positioning beacon card.
2.
Check that there is no obstacle on the path between the robot and the positioning
beacon.
9.2.11 Wire Lost during TrackWire !
Scenario
Occurs when the robot is following the trackwire and is then unable to detect a signal on
the wire. When this happens the robot will rotated through 360° in an attempt to detect a
phase difference, and then issue this message.
Solution
1.
Check station power supply.
2.
Check peripheral wire connections.
3.
Check peripheral wire integrity using a multi-meter.
