Measure the oil pump rotor clearances
as shown. Replace if out of specification.

Installing the valves

Install a new valve seal

onto the valve

guide.

Install the valve

, valve spring seat

valve spring

, and valve spring retainer

in the sequence shown, and then

attach the special service tools.

NOTE:

Face the fine pitch side

of the valve spring

toward the spring seat.

Compress the valve spring, and then
install the valve cotter

using a thin

screwdriver with a small amount of
grease applied to it.

0.09–0.15 mm (0.0035–0.0059 in)
