Manual tuning is effective when station signals are weak.

Rotate the INPUT selector on the front panel
(or press TUNER on the remote control) to
select TUNER as the input source.

Press FM or AM on the front panel (or FM or
AM on the remote control) to select the
reception band (FM or AM).
FM or AM is displayed on the front panel display.

manually tune in to the desired station.
When you tune in to a station, the frequency of the received
station is shown in the front panel display.

To tune in by direct frequency tuning, press
the numeric buttons on the remote control to
enter the frequency of the station.
Enter only integers. For example, if you want to set
the frequency to 88.90 MHz, enter “8890”.
• When you press the numeric buttons on the remote control
during preset tuning, a preset number is selected. Set the tuning
mode to frequency tuning mode using TUNING

on the remote control) before
pressing the numeric buttons.
• “WRONG STATION!” is displayed on the front panel display if
you enter a frequency that is out of receivable range. Make sure
that the entered frequency is correct.
BASIC OPERATION

Improving FM reception
If the signal from the station is weak and the sound quality
is not good, set the FM band reception mode to monaural
mode to improve reception.

Press OPTION on the remote control when
this unit is tuned in to an FM radio station.
The Option menu for TUNER is displayed (see page
32).

“FM Mode”, and then press ENTER.

To cancel the operation and return to the Option menu, press
RETURN on the remote control.
