PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SHEAVE (YUM1A/YUM2A)

REMOVING THE PRIMARY SHEAVE

1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply 

the parking brake.

2. Remove:

• Driver seat frame (YUM1A)

Refer to  “GENERAL CHASSIS (1)” on page 
4-1.

• Battery plate “1” (YUM1A)
• Rear shock absorber (YUM1A)

Refer to  “REAR SUSPENSION COMPO-
NENTS” on page 4-36
.

• Side panel (left)

Refer to  “GENERAL CHASSIS (4)” on page 
4-9.

3. Jack up the rear suspension arm (YUM1A) to 

a height where the primary sheave bolt “1” 
can be accessed.

4. Remove:

• Rubber cap
• Primary sheave bolt

TIP

Use the rotor holding tool “1” to hold the primary 
sheave.

5. Remove:

• Primary sheave assembly

TIP

Use the rotor holding tool “1” and primary clutch 
puller “2”.

REMOVING THE SECONDARY SHEAVE

1. Place the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Apply the parking brake securely.
3. Remove:

• Secondary sheave bolt “1”
• Secondary sheave “2”
