The mesh pad is made from consumable material, and may need to be replaced to prevent malfunction when
partial discoloration, sagging, fraying, tearing, or scraping appears. For information on replacement parts, con-
tact your dealer or qualified Yamaha service personnel.
1.
Remove the rubber rim.
2.
Remove all six drum key bolts using the drum key.
The drum key can be found in the pad set package.
3.
Remove the hoop.
4.
Remove the old head, and then replace it with the new one. (The head can be installed in any direction.)
5.
Attach the hoop, and then temporarily fix it with the drum key bolts.
6.
Attach the rubber rim.
When attaching the rubber rim, make sure that it covers from the outside to the inside of the hoop circumfer-
ence. After attaching, make sure that the rubber rim fits all the way around.
7.
Adjust the head tension.
Refer to the “Head Tension Adjustment (mesh pad only)” (on page 10).
The head replacement is now complete.
Head Replacement (mesh pad only)
• The head of the TCS pad (XP105T-X, XP125T-X, XP125SD-X) is not replaceable.
When the head is damaged, consult your dealer or qualified Yamaha service personnel.
• Do not touch the parts inside the pad (sensor, circuit board, etc.) or press the head, to avoid causing damage to
the parts.
