POTENTIAL HAZARD
Improper care when refueling.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Fuel can spill, which can cause a fire and se-
vere injury.
Fuel expands when it heats up. If the fuel
tank is overfilled, fuel could spill out due to
heat from the engine or the sun.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Do not overfill the fuel tank. Be careful not to
spill fuel, especially on the engine or ex-
haust pipe. Wipe up any spilled fuel immedi-
ately. Be sure the fuel tank cap is closed
securely.
Do not refuel right after the engine has been
running and is still very hot.
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Removing the radiator cap when the engine
and radiator are still hot.
