Do not look into or put your hands
near the impeller or auger when they
are rotating.

When removing snow lodged in a
rotating part with the clean-out tool
(lodged snow remover), stop the en-
gine, remove the engine switch key,
and wait until all moving parts have
stopped.

Position the Snowblower on a level
surface.
9
Wear gloves when using the clean-
out tool (lodged snow remover).
1. Stop the engine and remove the engine
switch key.
2. Be sure to use the clean-out tool (lodged
snow remover) to remove snow and
other obstacles from the auger housing.
3. Remove the locknuts, the shear bolts
and the washers.

4. Install the new shear bolts with their
washers.
5. Install the new locknuts and then tighten
them to the specified torque.
Tightening torque:
Locknut:
10 N·m (1.0 kgf·m, 7.4 lb·ft)
NOTICE

Tighten the locknuts to the specified
torque. Shear bolts may be damaged
if they are loosely installed.

Use genuine shear bolts only.
