5. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
ATTENTION !
: This router can work wood and plastic materials, DON’T use with metals or stone.
5.a Fitting the cutter
✓
Using the spanner (14), loose the clamping nut (9)
✓
Extract the collet (B) and check if the size is correct for
the cutter which is to be using (eventually substitute it)
✓
Loosely screw the clumping nut and insert the cutter (C)
in the collet
✓
Insert the shaft stop pin (12)to hold the spindle, then tight
the clumping nut using the spanner
✓
REMOVE THE SHAFT STOP PIN before continue !
5.b Fitting the dust collector
✓
Using the two countersunk head screws, fasten the dust collector to
the routing base
✓
The dust collector can be connected to dust extractors with suction
hose with diameter 36 mm. For other size use adapter.
5.d Adjust depth of cut
✓
Place the machine on the workpiece
✓
Loose the setting screw (2)
✓
Lower the machine slowly until when the cutter touch the
workpiece
✓
Set the dept stop(6) together with the stopper for a fine setting,
then fix the setting screw (2) to fix the desired position.
✓
Switch on the machine and lower the router to perform the routing
job
ATTENTION ! :
✓
The routing job have to be done in the opposite way of the cutter
rotation to avoid risk of back kick.
✓
Deeper cuts have to be performed in several passes.
✓
Hold the router always with both hands on all cutting jobs.
5.e Switch on and off
✓
Press the switch. To switch off, release the switch.
6 ACCESSORIES AND USE
6.a. Fitting the parallel stop
✓
Insert the parallel shaft of the parallel stop in the holes
of the routing base
✓
Connect the scale on the parallel shaft
✓
Adjust the parallel stop to the required distance and fix
it with the setting screws (6)
6.b Fitting the trammel point
✓
Remove the parallel stop to use one of the 2 poles
✓
Fasten the trammel point to the parallel pole
✓
Place the trammel point on the workpiece
