REPLACEMENT OF SAW BLADE (Fig. 12)
WARNING!
BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY ADJUSTMENT OR MAINTENANCE TASK, ENSURE
THAT THE MACHINE IS SWITCHED OFF AND THAT THE PLUG IS REMOVED FROM
THE SOCKET.
WARNING!
CHECK THAT THE FEATURES OF THE SAW BLADE YOU WANT TO ASSEMBLE
CORRESPOND TO THE DATA OF THE “TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS” PARAGRAPH.
DO NOT USE A SAW BLADE WITH A DIAMETER BIGGER THAN THE ONE OF THE
ORIGINAL BLADE, SINCE IT COULD GET IN TOUCH WITH THE PROTECTIVE CAP. IT
CAN BE DANGEROUS NOT TO RESPECT ORIGINAL DIMENSIONS.
•
Lift the saw blade to the highest degree (4).
•
Remove the protective cap (2) (see par. “ASSEMBLY / REMOVAL OF THE PROTECTIVE CAP”).
•
Remove the bench inlay (6).
•
Place the locking wrench of the axle (41) on the saw blade
Fig. 12
and unfasten the screw (42) with the
wrench (40) (in the rotation sense of the saw blade).
•
Before assembling the new saw blade, you must clean the flanges carefully.
•
Place the new saw blade and the flange and tighten firmly the saw blade’s locking screw.
WARNING!
RESPECT THE ROTATION SENSE OF THE SAW BLADE. SAW BLADE’S TEETH MUST
POINT DOWNWARDS AND IN THE MOVING DIRECTION, THAT IS TO SAY TOWARDS
THE FRONT SIDE (SEE THE ARROW ON THE PROTECTION CAP AND ON THE SAW
BLADE).
•
Place the riving knife and check that it is aligned to the saw blade.
•
Assemble the bench inlay and the moving protective cap, and check that it works properly.
•
Let the saw blade rotate by hand to check that there are not any obstacles.
•
To check there are not any problems, connect the mitre saw and start it for a while without using it.
CAUTION
: Use only saw blades designed for cross cutting. When using saw blades with hard
metal plates, be sure that they have a null or negative cutting angle. Do not use saw blades
with deeply cut teeth since they can bend and get in touch with the protective cap. If possible,
use silenced blades to minimize the noise.
