CONTROLS
The engine switch enables and
disables the ignition system.
The engine switch key must put in
for the engine to run.
Pulling out the engine switch key
will stop the engine.
The choke lever opens and closes
the choke valve in the carburetor.
Pulling the starter grip to crank the engine.
The CLOSE position enriches the fuel mixture for starting a cold
engine.
The OPEN position provides the correct fuel mixture for
operation after starting, and for restarting a warm engine.
Some engine applications use a remotely-mounted choke control
rather than the engine-mounted choke lever shown here. (See
Figure 2
)
