6.7.2 After the replacement of the cylinder block, crankshaft, camshaft, one or several
pistons or liners, more than a half of the gaskets of the crank and main bearings as well as more
than two piston rings one should perform running-in completely according to the basic mode
with the following acceptance test.
6.7.3 After the replacement of less than a half gaskets of crank and main bearings or one
piston ring at no more than at two cylinders one should perform the stand running-in according
to the mode of hot running-in with the following acceptance test.
6.7.4 After the replacement of the cylinder head, oil, water or furl pump, fuel pump drive,
distributor timing, crankshaft collar, flywheel housing, distributor timing cover or other parts the
replacement of which needs to remove the cylinder head as well as after the removal of the
cylinder head to inspection of the parts of the cylinder-piston group:
- if the parts were replaced during the basic mode of the cold running-in one should
continue the running-in of the engine beginning with the mode when the replacement were
carried out;
- if the parts were replaced after the hot running-in engine running-inshould be performed
completely after the hot running-in;
- if the parts were replaced during the acceptance test to run-in the engine according to the
mode specified in the table 6.5. After that to perform the acceptance test.
6.7.5 After the replacement of the fan drive, one or several push rods, rockers, rocker
shafts, valve springs, eduction and induction manifolds, water pipes, nozzles, plugs, gaskets
and elimination of the small defects:
- if the parts were replaced during the basic mode one should continue the basic mode of
the engine running-in beginning with the mode when the replacement were carried out;
- if the parts were replaced during the acceptance test of the engine, technical control
should check the replaced parts and continues the acceptance test.
