RS422/RS485 Self-Test
The E7 drive can perform a self-test of the communications interface. To perform the self-test:
■
Apply power to the E7 drive.
■
Set parameter H1-01 to 67h (self-test).
■
Remove power from the E7 drive and wait for the charge lamp to be completely extinguished. Wait at least five additional minutes for
the E7 drive to be completely discharged. Measure the DC bus voltage and verify that it is at a safe level.
■
Connect jumper wires to the E7 drive terminals as shown below.
■
Reapply power to the E7 drive.
The frequency reference is displayed on the digital operator if the communications interface is functioning normally.
If the communications interface is not functioning, a “CE” fault is displayed on the digital operator, the E7 drive fault signal will be ON and the
E7 drive ready signal will be OFF.
