Manipulating Parameters (Pn

This section describes the classifications, notation, and setting methods for the parameters
given in this manual.
5.1.1
Parameter Classification
There are the following two types of SERVOPACK parameters.
The setting method for each type of parameter is described below.
Setup Parameters
You can use the Digital Operator, or S to set the setup parameters individually.
Classification
Meaning
Setup Parameters
Parameters for the basic settings that are
required for operation.
Tuning Parameters
Parameters that are used to adjust servo
performance.
When you edit parameters with the S, setup parameters and tuning parameters are
displayed.
When you edit parameters with a Digital Operator, only setup parameters are displayed by
default. To edit tuning parameters, set Pn00B to n.

We recommend that you use the Setup Wizard of the S to easily set the required setup
parameters by setting the operating methods, machine specifications, and I/O signals according
to on-screen Wizard instructions.
