5.9 Setting VIPA specific CPU parameters
5.9.1 Proceeding
Except of the VIPA specific CPU parameters the CPU parameterization takes place in the
parameter dialog of the CPU from Siemens. With installing of the SPEEDBUS.GSD the
VIPA specific parameters may be set during hardware configuration. Here the following
parameters may be accessed:

Function RS485 (PtP, Synchronization between DP master and CPU)
n
Token Watch
n
Number remanence flag, timer, counter
n
Priority OB 28, OB 29
n
Call OB 80 on cyclic interrupt error
Since the VIPA specific CPU parameters may be set, the installation of the
SPEEDBUS.GSD from VIPA in the hardware catalog is necessary. The CPU may be con-
figured in a PROFIBUS master system and the appropriate parameters may be set after
installation.
The GSD (Geräte-Stamm-Datei) is online available in the following language versions.

The integration of the SPEEDBUS.GSD takes place with the following proceeding:

Go to the service area of www.yaskawa.eu.com.
2.
Load from the download area at
‘Config files

the according file for
your System 300S.
3.
Extract the file to your work directory.
4.
Start the hardware configurator from Siemens.
5.
Close every project.
6.
Select
‘Options

Install new GSD-file’
.
7.
Navigate to the directory VIPA_System_300S and select
SPEEDBUS.GSD
an.

The SPEED7 CPUs and modules of the System 300S from Yaskawa may now
be found in the hardware catalog at PROFIBUS-DP / Additional field devices /
I/O / VIPA_SPEEDBUS.
