OVERVIEW
This guide helps you set up your Yaskawa Motoman controller to work with Forge/OS 5.
This startup guide covers the collaborative and non-collaborative YRC1000micro options. For
collaborative robots, the YRC1000micro is taller because it comes with Power and Force
Limiting (PFL) features.
Contact READY for specific software and hardware requirements.
You will follow these steps:
1. Backup and update the Yaskawa controller.
2. Connect the KEBA pendant to your Forge hub and Yaskawa controller.
3. Connect the Yaskawa controller to your Forge hub.
4. Power up.
5. Make changes to the robot safety and communication settings on the Yaskawa pendant.
6. Install and set up Forge/OS.
7. Add your robot in the Device Configuration app on the KEBA pendant.
8. Upload robot files onto the Yaskawa controller and make more changes.
9. Finish Device Configuration in Forge/OS.
Note:
This guide assumes that you have installed the Yaskawa robot and controller
according to Yaskawa instructions. Make sure the Yaskawa controller is in working order
before moving on.
