operation of lifting and pass the hoist for inspection.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Pin up long hair. Apply the personal protection equipment, such as a safety helmet, safety
goggles, gloves, and also an appropriate footwear.
If the hoist is requires a repair, it should be passed to an authorized repairer for this purpose. Use only genuine spare parts.
Be prescient, don’t work when you are tired or under the infl uence of drugs.
PRODUCT SERVICE
Preparing for operation
Check whether the hooks for cargo and for hanging rotate freely at the installation place, according to the chain and body of the
hoist. Hooks protection should automatically, after the pressure is released, closed the loop of hook.
The hoist should be suspended in its workplace. The suspension place should be chosen in such a way that it can withstand the
load which is exerted by the hoist with the lifted load. The hoist should be suspended in such a way that the hook protection will
close, this will secure the hoist hook from slipping out of the mounting location.
Then you should stretch the chain and fully unwind it. Make sure, that both ends of the chain are not entangled one with another.
Check whether the thrust ring is mounted on the end of the chain to prevent falling down of the chain from a drum.
Reset the operating switch in the neutral position marked with “N”, and then whether the chain moves freely across its entire
length.
Check the operation of the brake drum by the strong pull of the load hook or test raise of the load to a height of 10-15 cm. it is
forbidden to use the hoist in the situation when the break is not working. In this case, the hoist must be submitted to an authorized
service center.
If the brake is working properly, the hoist is ready for use.
Catching the load
The moved load should allow for catching the hook directly or by using additional slings. The width of the sling should be selected
so that its strength is equal to or greater than the nominal lifting capacity of the hoist.
It is forbidden to catch the load by belting it by a chain.
The load should be caught so that after its lifting it does not move diff erently in a diff erent direction than vertically. The load should
not move horizontally or rotate. All hooks used to anchor the load should have a securing mechanism (locking the hook loop), and
after hooking the hook protection should close the hook loop.
It is forbidden to use two hoists to lift one load.
Do not attach the load hook with a fi xed object.
Moving of the load
ATTENTION! Before starting the lifting, you should move the direction switch to the position marked with an arrow point-
ing up, and then, by turning the knob, pre-tension the chain. When the chain is not tensioned the ratchet mechanism is
not working and it would be impossible to lift the load.
Move the operating switch to the arrow symbol denoting movement of the hook in a given direction. Then you may start lifting or
lowering the load by moving the hoist lever. You should hear the sound of the ratchet, and the load should be moved. Throughout
the entire range of the load movement, the resistance generated by the lever should be the same.
During the movement you should constantly observe the load. Do not stay under the load. Do not leave the load raised. Do not
perform any other operations on the moved load, for example, do not weld or grind the raised load.
Maintenance of the hoist
Proper maintenance of the hoist aff ects the safety and productivity. Performing the recommended maintenance extends the life of
the hoist and increases safety during its operation.
The following table presents list of parts, which should be checked with information on what to look for during inspections. In the
last column the inspection control is specifi ed: U - before each use; O - periodically every 100 hours of operation.
