Read and keep the entire instruction manual before the
fi
rst use of this device.
CAUTION! In order to ensure the proper functioning of the gun, it is not recommended to remove an unused foam cylinder from the gun. It is recom-
mended to use the foam completely once the container has been installed.
1. INTENDED USE
The assembly foam gun is designed to apply single-component foam available in pressure containers. The gun makes it easier to perform such tasks
as: sealing, installation of windows and doors,
fi
lling gaps in insulation, sealing and insulation of partition walls and insulation of walls and roofs.
2. SAFETY GUIDELINES
Detailed instructions for the safe use of the assembly foam are given by the manufacturers on the packaging and must be followed.
Never point the gun’s outlet at people - foam and cleaning
fl
uid in the gun may cause personal injury or other damage.
E
ff
ective ventilation should be provided at the workplace.
Use the gun away from heat sources and
fi
re as this may damage the device or impair its operation.
Observe the general safety conditions when carrying out assembly work and use the appropriate personal protective equipment such as glasses,
masks and gloves.
Never leave the assembled system without the supervision of a person authorised to its use. Do not let children near the assembled system.
Never direct the assembly foam stream or cleaning agent onto a heat or
fi
re source, as this may result in a
fi
re.
3. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
3.1. Starting work
Shake the foam container vigorously for approximately 15 seconds.
Screw in the adjusting screw on the back of the gun as far as possible to completely prevent the trigger lever from moving.
Remove the lid from the foam container and screw the container onto the gun nut until resistance is felt. Then unscrew the adjusting screw on the
back of the gun by turning it until resistance is felt.
Press the trigger lever and
fi
ll the gun with foam.
The gun is ready for use. The foam stream
fl
ows out when the trigger lever is pressed.
Releasing the trigger lever will stop the foam from
fl
owing out.
The volume of the foam stream is adjusted by turning the adjusting screw.
3.2. Activities after completing work
Screw in the adjusting screw to prevent the trigger lever from moving.
It is recommended not to remove the foam container from the gun. Make sure that at least a partially
fi
lled container is always screwed onto the gun
to keep the foam inside the gun under pressure. This prevents the foam from drying out inside the gun.
If the gun is not in use for more than a month, use an assembly foam cleaning agent to clean the gun.
Do not allow the foam to dry inside the gun. Dried foam may only be removed mechanically.
Leaving the dried foam inside the gun leads to an
irreversible blockage of the gun.
No warranty claims can be derived from this.
3.3. Reuse of the gun
Vigorously shake the gun with the container attached for approximately 15 seconds. Cut o
ff
the tip of the hardened foam with a sharp knife.
Unscrew the adjusting screw to the left and release enough foam to make the stream uniform. After this, the gun is ready for use.
3.4. Replacing the container
If foam no longer
fl
ows from the container, replace it with a new one. To see if the container is completely unobstructed, point the nozzle towards a
waste container and press the trigger until the pistol nozzle is completely unobstructed.
Install a new container immediately without cleaning the gun and follow item 3.1.
3.5. Cleaning the gun
Unscrew the container from the gun.
Place the spray tip on the cleaning agent container and clean the fresh foam residue on the gun.
Remove the spray tip and screw the cleaning agent container onto the gun. Proceed similarly to the instructions for the foam container (item 3.1.).
Fill the gun with a cleaning agent and leave for approx. 10 minutes.
Press the trigger lever again and clean the inside of the gun with a fresh cleaning agent.
Unscrew the cleaning agent container. Using a cloth, remove any remaining cleaning agent from the container/gun connection and apply a thin
layer of Vaseline.
Do not clean the gun with corrosive agents.
When using the gun continuously, clean it every 2 - 3 months as described above.
