OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
GB
urement mode are displayed in the telescope. The power supply is automatically switched o
ff
approx. 15 seconds after the last press of any button.
Adjusting the eyepiece focus
Look through the eyepiece and keep turning its cover until the display is focused. Thanks to
adjustable eyepiece focus, some people with myopia and hyperopia can use the range
fi
nder
without corrective glasses.
Distance measurement
Press the change mode button until “M” or “Y” is displayed in the eyepiece. “M” is the measure-
ment in metres and “Y” is the measurement in yards. Aim the range
fi
nder so that the measured
object is inside a rectangle in the centre of the eyepiece. Press the on/o
ff
switch brie
fl
y and
wait for the numerical reading of the distance. You can change the measuring unit by pressing
and holding the change mode button until the symbol of the measuring unit changes in the
eyepiece.
Angle measurement
Press the change mode button until the angle measurement symbol is displayed in the eye-
piece. Measure in the same manner as when measuring the distance. The display in the eye-
piece will alternate between the distance and the inclination of the range
fi
nder at the time of
measurement. If the “-” sign is displayed before the angle value, this indicates the downward
inclination of the range
fi
nder.
Height measurement
Press the change mode button until the height measurement symbol is displayed in the eye-
piece. Measure in the same manner as when measuring the distance. The display in the eye-
piece will alternate between the distance and height of the measured object relative to the
height of the range
fi
nder. If the “-” sign is displayed before the height value, this indicates the
downward inclination of the range
fi
nder.
Distance measurement in fog
Fog re
fl
ects and absorbs the laser beam, so the measurement in fog can be highly erroneous
and is e
ff
ective only over short distances not exceeding 30 m. Press the change mode button
until the distance measurement in fog symbol is displayed in the eyepiece. Measure in the
same manner as when performing standard distance measurement.
Speed measurement
The instrument is able to measure the speed of an object approaching or moving away from
the range
fi
nder. The greater the angle between the laser beam and the direction of the moving
object, the greater the measurement error. The most accurate measurement results will be
obtained when the laser beam coincides with the direction of the object movement. Press the
change mode button until the speed measurement symbol is displayed in the eyepiece. Press
and hold the on/o
ff
switch to change the speed measurement unit. Press the on/o
ff
switch
brie
fl
y to start measuring speed. Two distances and time between these measurements will
be measured. Based on this, the average speed of the measured object will be calculated
and displayed.
Tripod-mounted device operation
The instrument can be mounted on a tripod, using a threaded socket in the instrument base.
