Releasing the unlocked trigger stops the spraying of the coating material.
The device is turned o
ff
when the power switch is set to the “o
ff
– O” position.
Caution! Even after turning o
ff
, the coating material inside the product may remain under high pressure. At the end of each oper-
ation, perform the pressure release procedure.
Adjustment of the amount of sprayed coating material
The amount of coating material to be sprayed can be adjusted by means of the pressure adjustment knob. It is advisable to start
spraying at the lowest setting and increase it gradually until obtaining satisfactory results.
Coating material spraying
It is recommended that the
fi
rst attempts of spraying the coating material be carried out on the test surface. This will avoid damage
to the work area.
Make sure that all surfaces not to be covered are well covered. Make sure that the surface to be covered is clean, dry, degreased
and free from dust.
Keep the unit upright so that the nozzle outlet is approximately 30 cm from the surface to be sprayed.
Move the spray gun sideways or up and down so that it is always at a constant distance from the surface to be sprayed (X). Start
moving the gun and only then pull the trigger. Release the pressure on the trigger before completing the movement of the gun
(XI). Moving the spray gun with a steady motion, changing pace or stopping the spray gun during spraying will result in uneven
distribution of the coating material.
Avoid tilting the gun both horizontally and vertically (XII). This will result in an uneven distribution of the coating material.
Apply several thin layers of coating material instead of one thick layer.
Before applying the next coat, leave the previous one to dry slightly, follow the instructions supplied with the sprayed material.
Urgent spray gun nozzle cleaning
Despite the precautions taken, the gun nozzle may be partially or completely blocked.
If a decrease in performance, a change in the shape of the sprayed coating material jet or stopping of spraying are observed,
these may be caused by a clogged nozzle outlet of the spray gun.
In this case, release the trigger and lock it in a position to prevent accidental pressing.
Turn the unit o
ff
by moving the power switch to the “o
ff
– O” position.
Move the spray gun nozzle knob to the cleaning position.
Turn the unit on by moving the power switch to the “on – I” position.
Unlock the gun trigger.
Point the gun nozzle outlet into an empty container.
Press and hold the gun trigger until the nozzle is cleaned.
Release the pressure on the trigger and lock it in a position preventing unintentional pressing.
Turn the unit o
ff
by moving the power switch to the “o
ff
– O” position.
Move the spray gun nozzle knob to the spray position.
Turn the unit on by moving the power switch to the “on – I” position.
Perform a test spray on the test surface.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Caution! Perform cleaning of the coating material supply system immediately after
fi
nishing the spraying. Dried coating material
inside the system may irreparably damage the product.
Cleaning after each use
After
fi
nishing work, perform the pressure release procedure.
Pull the hoses out of the container with the coating material, hold their ends above the surface of the coating material. Allow
residual coating material to drain from inside the system.
Direct the outlet of the over
fl
ow hose to an empty tank,
fi
x it so that it does not slide out automatically.
Immerse the suction hose in a tank with water, diluent or cleaning agent. The strainer must be kept under the surface at all times.
Perform the complete procedure described under “
Preparing for spraying the coating material
” – rinse the coating material instead
of oil.
When the coating material stops coming out of the gun, perform the pressure release procedure.
Disconnect the gun from the hose.
Unscrew the nozzle nut and remove the nozzle, nozzle cover and nut (XIII).
Unscrew the nut securing the gun
fi
lter and slide out the
fi
lter (XIV).
Wash the
fi
lter and disassembled nozzle, nozzle cover and
fi
xing nut in water with soap, diluent or cleaning agent. You can use a
soft plastic bristle brush or a soft sponge for cleaning.
After cleaning, dry all parts with a soft cloth or leave them to dry.
Install the
fi
lter, nozzle, nozzle cover and
fi
xing nut to the gun.
