sand wood.
Move the sander towards and away from you, and gradually to a side. Wood should be sanded along the rings. Sanding should
be started with coarser sandpaper; then the
fi
ner-grit sandpaper should be used gradually until achieving the desired e
ff
ect. Avoid
checking the condition of the machined wood surface with a bare hand. This can cause injury from splinters and burrs formed
during processing. Do not stop the sander in one place; this will cause uneven work results. Do not apply excessive pressure on
the sanded surface during sanding. The pressure should be uniform throughout the entire working time. The sander should be
guided in such a way that the sanding sheet adheres to the sanded object with the entire surface. Do not press the sander against
the machined surface too hard. Excessive pressure can cause the sander to overheat and damage the machined surface and
even to tearing of the sanding sheet or damage the tool plate.
The sandpaper grit size must be selected according to the processed surface. Too coarse sanding sheets will produce scratches
on the surface of the processed material.
Take regular breaks during operation to check the condition of the sanding sheet. If a sanding sheet is found to have been clogged
with dust generated during work, or that the abrasive grain has worn, replace the sheet with a new one.
MAINTENANCE AND OVERHAUL
ATTENTION! Before any adjustment, technical service or maintenance operations unplug the tool. Once the operations have been
fi
nished, the technical conditions of the tool must be assessed by means of external evaluation and inspection of the following
elements: body and handle, conductor with a plug and de
fl
ection, functioning of the electric switch, patency of ventilation slots,
sparking of brushes, noise level of functioning of bearings and gears, start-up and smoothness of operation. During the guarantee
period, the user cannot dismantle the electric tools or change any sub-assemblies or elements, since it will cancel any guarantee
rights. All irregularities detected at overhaul or during functioning of the tools are a signal to have the tool repaired at a service
shop. Once the functioning has been concluded, the casing, ventilation slots, switches, additional handle and protections must be
cleansed with a stream of air (at a pressure not exceeding 0.3 MPa), with a brush or a cloth without any chemical substances or
cleaning liquids. Tools and handles must be cleansed with a clean cloth.
