INSTALLATION
4.1 Precautions
Before installing the transmitter, read the cautionary
notes in section 2.4, “Selecting the Installation Loca-
tion.” For additional information on the ambient
conditions allowed at the installation location, refer to
subsection 9.1 “Standard Specifications.”
IMPORTANT
• When welding piping during construction, take
care not to allow welding currents to flow
through the transmitter.
• Do not step on this instrument after installation.
• For the EJX430A and EJX440A, the atmo-
spheric opening is located on the low pressure
side cover flange. The opening must not face
upward. See section 9.4, “Dimensions,” for the
location of the opening.
4.2 Mounting
The transmitter is shipped with the process connec-
tion, according to the ordering specifications. To
change the orientation of the process connections,
refer to section 4.3.
With differential pressure transmitters, the distance
between the impulse piping connection ports is
usually 54 mm (figure 4.1). By changing the
orientation of the process connector, the dimension
can be changed to 51 mm or 57 mm.
The transmitter can be mounted on a nominal 50
mm (2-inch) pipe using the mounting bracket
supplied, as shown in figure 4.2 and 4.3 The
transmitter can be mounted on either a horizontal or
a vertical pipe.
When mounting the bracket on the transmitter,
tighten the (four) bolts that hold the transmitter with
a torque of approximately 39 N·m {4kgf·m}.
