3-5. Wiring the power supply
Make sure the power supply is switched off. Also, make sure that the power supply is
correct for the specifications of the EXAxt and that the supply agrees with the voltage
specified on the textplate.
Local health and safety regulations may require an external circuit breaker to be installed.
The instrument is protected internally by a fuse soldered to the printed circuit board.
The fuse rating is dependent on the supply to the instrument.
Fuse ratings are:
For the DC version 1 A
For the AC version 125 mA
250 Volt, Time-lag T, IEC60127
3-6.Wiring the Relay Contacts
Connect the relay contacts having regard to the use to which the relays are put. The
voltage and current being switched should determine the type of wire used. Because the
relays may be used to switch higher voltages, there is a cover for the terminal block (and
mains supply terminals) that should be clipped in place when the wiring is completed. This is
to prevent electric shock to unwary personnel.
