Always observe the following instructions. Failure to do so may result in
electrical shock or other dangers that may lead to serious injury or the loss of
life.
Testing leads
• Use the probes supplied by Yokogawa with this instrument.
• Do not use testing leads that have deteriorated or are defective.
Check testing leads continuity.
• Disconnect testing leads from the circuit under test before opening the casing to replace the
batteries or for any other reason.
• Disconnect testing leads from the circuit under test before attaching/detaching the testing
leads to/from the instrument.
• Disconnect testing leads from the instrument before opening the casing to replace the
batteries or for any other reason.
• A cap is provided on the tip of a testing lead.
Use a testing lead with the cap on for safety (safety standards: EN 61010-031).
Casing
• Do not use the instrument if there is any damage to the casing or when the casing is
removed.
Fuses
• Use fuses of the specified rating when the fuse is replaced.
Operating Environment
• Do not operate the instrument in an atmosphere where any flammable or explosive gas is
present.
• Avoid using the instrument if it has been exposed to rain or moisture or if your hands are
wet.
Disassembly
• No person, except personnel from Yokogawa, is authorized to disassemble this instrument.
