Explanation
Setup Parameters That Are Saved
The setup parameters existing at the time the store operation is executed can be saved.
However, note that the following parameters are not stored:
• ON/OFF state of waveform generation
• ON/OFF state of waveform output
• ON/OFF state of key lock
• ON/OFF state of the screen
• Date/Time
Note
If DHCP is turned ON, the TCP/IP parameters are overwritten when the VB8300 powers up.
If DNS is turned ON, the DNS parameters are overwritten when the VB8300 powers up. For
the setup procedure of DHCP and DNS, see section 11.2.
Data Format
When you execute the save operation, a .csv extension is added to the file name. You
can also enter the extension of the selected data format when you enter the name.
Storage Medium and Directory
The selected save destination or load source is shown in the Selection box in the Save
File or Load File dialog box.

For example, if the directory name is abc, the Selection box shows “/abc”.
Auto Naming
When Auto Naming is turned ON, files are created with a three digit number from 000 to
999 automatically added to the file name. The common portion of the file name before
the number is fixed to “setup”.
File Name
The number of characters and the type of characters that can be used are as follows:
Number of characters: Up to 255 characters.
Characters that can be used: 0 to 9, A to Z, a to z, -, and .
(A period cannot be used as the first character of a file name.)
Data Size
Approx. 9 KB
Condition: Default condition
Note
You cannot save or load setup data while waveform generation is in progress.
