Memory Test

soft key. The Memory Execute menu appears.

Explanation
Message Test
The message corresponding to a specified error number can be displayed. For details
on the messages, see section 14.2.
Key Test
You can check the response of keys and the rotary knob. When you press a key or turn
the rotary knob, the corresponding mark changes in color. If the corresponding mark
does not change in color, the key or rotary knob is not working.
Display Test
You can check for defects in the display pixels. Test screens of the red, green, and red
gradations are displayed sequentially for approximately 5 seconds at a time. Check that
there are no defects in the pixels on the test screen. For the specifications of the
display, see section 15.3.
Peripheral Interface Test
The test result of the VB8300 internal hard disk and the interface for connecting
peripherals can be displayed. Tests can be performed on the following items: Hard Disk,
Compact Flash, Ether, Key, Controller, USB 1, and USB 2.
Pass indicates that it is working properly.
Fail indicates that there is a problem.
Memory Test
Memory tests can be executed on each board.
Pass indicates that it is working properly.
Fail indicates that there is a problem.
Note
The test result for USB1 and USB2 in the peripheral interface test may not match the USB1
and USB2 markings on the rear panel of the VB8300. The test result boxes of USB1 and
USB2 show the names of the devices that are connected when the Peripheral soft key is
pressed.
