Starting Waveform Generation
• Starting Waveform Generation Using the START/STOP Key

Set the start trigger OFF according to the procedure given in section 6.1.

Press
START/STOP
. The green indicator above the START/STOP key
illuminates, and waveform generation starts.

. The green indicator above the START/STOP key illuminates.
When conditions for accepting the trigger* are met and an external start trigger
signal is detected, waveform generation starts.

Note
If you wish to output the waveform data that is loaded in the waveform memory from the beginning,
press the ON/OFF key to turn the waveform output ON* and start waveform generation.

Stopping Waveform Generation

indicator above the START/STOP key is ON). Waveform generation stops.
• Stopping after the Waveform Data Loaded in the Waveform Memory Is Output
Waveform generation stops when the waveform data loaded in the waveform memory
is output to the end. However, if the you set the repeat count to infinity when you
edited the sequence, waveform generation continues until you manually stop it.
Explanation
Starting/Stopping Waveform Generation
Waveform generation can be started simultaneously on all output terminal sets (OUT1 to
4). The green indicator above the START/STOP key illuminates while waveform
generation is in progress.
Turning the Waveform Output ON/OFF
Controls the signal output ON/OFF. If the waveform output is not turned ON, waveform
will not be output even if waveform generation is started.
• When the waveform output is turned ON, the green indicator above the ON/OFF key
illuminates. If you press the ON/OFF key while the indicator is illuminated, waveform
output is turned OFF.
• When the waveform output is OFF, the output terminal is set to ground level through
the 50-
Ω
impedance.

section 2.5.
• The digital output in independent of the waveform output ON/OFF setting.
