2.10 Theory Of Operation
YCAA-B Cooling Mode
Low pressure liquid refrigerant enters the cooler
(Evaporator) and is evaporated and superheated by the
heat energy absorbed from the chilled water passing
through the cooler plates. Low pressure vapour enters
the compressor where pressure and superheat are
increased. Heat is rejected via the air cooled condenser
coil and fans. The fully condensed and subcooled liquid
refrigerant then enters the expansion valve where
pressure reduction and further cooling takes place
before returning to the cooler.
