7.2.1 REPLACING THE AIR FILTER
The replacement of the air filter is a very important activity of ordinary maintenance; if it is clogged,
YEFB unit will have a bad filtration of the air, lower capacity and higher noise levels.
The cleaning of the filter must be done at regular intervals, depending on the real functioning of
the unit and on the amount of dust in the area where the unit is installed. It is advisable to do it at
least once a month, using a normal vacuum cleaner. If dust stubbornly adheres to the filter due to
humidity or to greasy deposits replace it immediately.
7.2.2 REMOVING THE FILTER
The filter can be easily reached in YEFB units by removing the fixing screws from the bottom
closure panel, as shown in the picture below. By operating on the locking hooks, the filter can be
taken out for replacing it.
7.3 CLEANING THE HEAT EXCHANGER
Every year, verify that the fin pack is not clogged from dust or anything else that does
not allow the normal airflow; if necessary, use a jet of compressed air to clean the heat
exchanger. To prevent damage to the fins, or the pipes on the heat exchanger, never use
steel tools or sharp objects to clean the spaces between the fins. The access to the fin pack
is possible only after having disconnected the unit from the power mains and after removing
the filter.
