In an EVM-8X system, mailboxes 9990~9998 are used as stacked mailboxes. For example,
mailbox 9998 and mailbox 9997, if created, are stacked under the mutual mailbox. While the
mutual mailbox is full of messages, the new messages will be deposited into the mailbox 9998;
while mailbox 9998 is also full of messages, the mailbox 9997 is used.
The VM_8 of a stacked mailbox is used to store the internal phone number for the Message Lamp
and Internal Phone notification.
Mutual Mailbox
The mutual mailbox (9999) is created automatically by the system, which is used as an answering
machine and can be assigned as a service operator, an information receptionist or a transfer
destination.
The VM_5 is only used to specify the System Callback Number that is displayed on the pager of
. The VM_8 is used to store the internal phone number for the Message Lamp
and Internal Phone notification.
The Notification Schedule of the mutual mailbox is also the default Notification Schedule of each
mailbox owner who does not set up the personal Notification Schedule.
