EXTN Groups' Backup Extensions / Remote Switch Accesses
SYS_1_[YY]_3_[X~]
YY: the group number (01~32)
X~: the group backup extension, Remote Switch Access number or Trunk Group Access code,
which is identified by one of the following numbers:
0~9, 10~9899= internal phone numbers
9900~9989= mailboxes 9900~9989. The phone number of the backup extension is the
Special External Phone number that is stored in the VM_6 of the specified mailbox.
9999= using the mutual mailbox, which allows callers to leave a message.
0001~0007= mailboxes 9901~9907 (i.e. 0001= 9901). The remote switch access number is
stored in the specified mailbox.
000~009, 0010~0099= the number beginning with the 3
rd
digit of the specified number is
the trunk group access code (i.e. 009= 9).
Inputting * * * * will create a group of mailboxes, whose mailbox numbers depend on the group
extension numbers. The default Capacity / Language of each mailbox is 32-message storage
capacity and 1

language.
If a caller first time does not respond to a Busy or No-answer Prompt, the call will be transferred
to the group backup extension unless the called party is a mailbox owner who has specified the

Extension numbers are 100~289, which are also the internal phone numbers.
SYS_1_[02]_1_[290], SYS_1_[02]_2_[299], SYS_1_[02]_3_[100]:
Extension numbers are 290~299, which are also the internal phone numbers; internal
phone 100 is the group backup extension.
SYS_1_[03]_1_[82], SYS_1_[03]_2_[04], SYS_1_[03]_3_[0001], ADM_5_[829]_[9000]:
Extension numbers are 8200~8299, which are external phone numbers because the group
is assigned the remote switch access number that is stored in mailbox 9901. “829” is
specified as an invalid number; Therefore, the extension numbers from 8290 to 8299 are
invalid and the actual phone numbers the EXTN Group 03 includes are 8200~8289.
