The regulator is operated by pulling the cap up until it clicks, then turning it clockwise for
increased pressure, and counter-clockwise for decreased pressure. The pressure can be
read off the gauge behind the regulator. Pushing the cap back down again, locks it.
Operation and Safety Notes:
•
Take care in lifting and tightening the hood over the work area. If the hood is not
tightened properly, it can result in its closing unexpectedly.
•
Take care when using the air gun needles, some of them have fine points and can cause
damage to people as well as be easily bent and damaged themselves.
•
Do not block the fan/air holes on the left and right side of the machine. Blocking these
will diminish the performance of the machine.
•
Be sure to close the hood and have the vacuum hose attached when depowdering parts.
•
Check the filters in the back of the machine periodically to ensure they do not appear
over-saturated.
•
Check the vacuum bag periodically. Change as needed. This will enhance the
performance of the vacuum. (NOTE: a full vacuum bag can be very heavy, and awkward
to get out of the vacuum, it may be better to not let the bags fill completely).
•
Do not aim the air gun at any person.
•
Do not depress the air gun continuously to depowder. The compressor will work better if
the gun is depressed for only short intervals. This allows a higher pressure to be
maintained consistently and avoids risk of overheating.
•
DO NOT OPEN THE ELECTRONICS PANEL COVER ON THE BACK OF THE
MACHINE. There is nothing in regular maintenance that requires you to do so. There is
a RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK on some of the components located on the electronics
panel.
