When you do this, a window pops up reminding the user that, for changes to IP Address /
Netmask / Gateway to take effect, a reboot is required. Clicking “Ok” will cause the reboot to
occur. For now, click “cancel” since you just want to save the settings and not reboot the
system. (Note – when done for the first time, it might take up to 10 seconds for this message to
appear. This is due to the Z3-MVPR-02 initializing various configuration values).

Now that you’ve set DHCP, saved it to the configuration “z3_config1”, and specified that
“z3_config1” will be used when the system restarts, you can go ahead and reboot the Z3-MVPR-
02.

Run the “ZFinder” PC Utility on your Windows PC. The ZFinder window appears. ZFinder does a
scan of the network and lists the location of all Z3 systems connected to the network. The Z3-
MVPR-02 appears with the IP address obtained through DHCP.
