3.5.1 Basic Setting
The basic Setting for the wireless network are set on this page
Wireless Mode-
Select the desired wireless mode. The options are:
802.11b-Only 802.11b wireless stations can connect to the router.
802.11g-Only 802.11g wireless stations can connect to the router.
802.11b/g- Both 802.11b and 802.11g wireless stations can connect to the route
Wireless SSID-
Enter a value of up to 32 characters.The same name(SSID) must be assigned to all wireless
devices in your network. The default SSID is 431R, but it is recommended strongly that you change your
networks name to a different value. The value is case-sensitive.For example, 431R is NOT the same as
431r.
Channel-
This field determines which operating frequency will be used. It is unnecessary to change the
wireless channel unless you notice interference problems with another nearby access point.
Click the Save Settings button to save your settings.
3.5.2 Security
The wireless security function can be enabled or disabled. If disabled, the wireless stations will be able to
connect the router without encryption. It is strongly recommended that you choose this option to encrypt
your wireless network.
